noones been posting lately so i guess i will.
lessee whats going on in the life of yours truely...
i know i said that i would be going for a new 2001 celica gt..... but then i thought about it...... why spend 10 grand on a new car when i can spend that much customizeing and turbochargeing my old 1986 celica. in the meantime, while i fix my celicas many problems, (fineally got the title straightened out, but just as i did my starter and alternator went out ;D ) a friend of mine was in some serious trouble. i wont go into many details but long story short... he needed money or he'd be sent to jail. he had an old 1987 cadillac fleetwood broughham that he was originally selling for $800. he dropped the price to 300 when he found out that i might have been interested. this car is incredible! it has a $250-$300 pioneer headunit with 2 10 by 5 inch speakers in the back and 2 6 by 4 inch pioneer speakers in the front. it also turns out that old caddilacs have a natural occuring accustic "box" found at the top of the huge trunk, and if that wasent enough... insurance for me monthly is only $130!!! at first i thought the 5.0 liter v8 160-200 hp monstrous engine would be nothing but a gas guzzler. later i found out that it runs at a decent gas rate (20/gal). ive nichnamed this caddy "Tank". thats a perfect description of it. in what other car do you find a 1 inch thick steel cage above the engine? and the car weighs 4000 lbs! to go into more detail... the car is white with a burgandy leather top and burgandy leather seats. its acceleration is a little sluggish (0-60 approx. 10.5 secs) but its great for a 4000lb tank. its got its scratches here and there but im planning to repair all of them and get it repainted. once done, the car will be polished enough to be in car shows.
tell me what you guys think of a low rideing caddy with dual exhaust, pioneer audio and a hood scoop.
ok well i gotta get back to my celica... im repairing the engine seals today,
=ScopeOut=
